Ryan's first flight

Brought Ryan, Dear and MIL to Bangkok last week for Ryan's first ever flight.

It was a long awaited break for Dear and a new experience for Ryan.
Though it did not go as smoothly as we thought, it was still a good learning experience for both me and dear to make better preparations for the upcoming Taiwan trip.

Ryan's many firsts on this trip:
1) First ever Flight on airplane. SQ 976!
2) First ever taste of ice cream - Freshly Freeze
3) First ever ride on Porsche - Boxster
4) First ever visit to a shrine - Erawan
5) First ever steamboat - MK Gold at Central World

Points to note:
1) Keep excursions short and near to the hotel so that Ryan can take proper naps in the hotel, preferably after every 3 to 4 hours of walking.
2) Water seems to be a problem - Packaged Singha distilled water seems to be hard water. Stick to a tried and tested brand so Ryan will not reject drinking it.
3) Baby seats in restaurants in Bangkok is not like SG, where almost every place uses the standard ikea high chair - probably invest in a good seat pouch that converts an open chair into a baby chair.
4) Fungi infection - Ryan is sooooo cute that everyone wants to kiss/pinch his cheeks, resulting in fungi infection on both cheeks - need to bring along fungi infection cream and reduce cheek contact with strangers.
5) Retire on time every night! No more late return to hotels at 10pm. Ryan wakes up at the same time every morning, so late returns means shorter sleeping time for him, which turns him into a grumpy baby.
6) Mummy's hook is infinitely useful!
7) Always bring along a backup small umbrella.
8) Ryan loves bath tubs. Look for hotels that provides big tubs for his every day fun time/bath.
9) Streamline the baby bag further.
