It's the last day of 2011, and boy, it was really an eventful year.
Wedding in March
Moved into my own place
Honeymoon in Australia
Mancation in Cambodia
Did my first triathlon
Revisiting Taiwan
Spent good quality time with bro in US
Completed my 9th SC marathon
There are still some stuff that i wanted to do but procrastination took over the wheel.
2012 will be another year of big changes again.
30 years old. 而立之年
Can safely say that my career is quite smooth sailing now after much upheaval and pain in the past.
It's high time that I should seriously start planning and take action on starting my own biz.
Can't be working as an employee forever. It's just too risky to put all eggs in one basket, or rather get all income from one source only.
There were a few sound ideas worth exploring further.
The urge and desire to do something of my own is just getting stronger.
The familiar old feeling of jumping out of bed from sleep when I get a good idea is getting more frequent.
My singular goal for 2012:
Start my own biz
Just like 五月天 new song's title:
有些事现在不做以后一辈子都不会做
Will put in writing my side goals for 2012 over the next few days

200th post??
Just realised that this is the 200th post since I started this blog back in 2004, when the main gripe was on the Indian lab project mate from hell.
Time really flies.
It seems only like yesterday that I was still mugging at canteen B, and today I had just visited my new home for the first time.
Lots of work and stuff to be done.
Feng shui master went through the layout, and ID came in after that.
Lots of accommodations to be done on both Feng Shui and design, but ultimately everyone's objective is to have a better future.
Wedding preparations are also rumbling along too. Went to Malacca over the weekend, and bought everything that we need for the Guo Da Li and Actual Day rituals. Will be going for the photo shoot album selection this Sat.
Busy busy busy

Grown up
Done 2x photoshoot, meet-the-parents session, met the IDs, visited our future apartment (area inspection w/o entry into the unit), discussion with close frens, budgeting and planning, within this 2 weeks.
It is really tiring and at many times, frustrating.
It is damned irritating to allow too many people having a say on my stuff.
This is starting to bite back and give me even bigger problems.
Doing my part as Filial piety duty is one thing, but allowing everything to degenerate into one big mess is not acceptable.
Will have to stamp my authority now and get everything done my way.
Too many Indian chieves will just get nothing done.
Guess I just gotta be good and seek stability first in my work in order to get the important stuff done first before trying to make any further changes.

This time of the year again
Just realised that the entries have been getting lesser n lesser each year.
Last year's entry can be still found on the same page without getting pushed into archive.
Turning 29 this year, and found many things changing in life at amazing speed, and I still have yet to come to terms with some of the stuff.
Got married legally, going to get my own place soon, going to have my wedding banquet soon, then honeymoon as well, been to bali for pre honeymoon, new baby in the family.
Seems like i have been plagued or bothered by work stuff a lot nowadays.
Perhaps I shouldn't take work so seriously, or rather, get worked up so much by work stuff.
Realization of the fact that time is no longer on my side, and I don't really have any more margin to drift along in life.
Am I going to get stuck in the rat race? Or will I be able to break out?
If so, how?
I know I have the capability to break out, and I have the means to do so too.
Sometimes, thinking too much and far is too scary which ends up in non action.
Simple escapism is still recurring everyday... some times I just don't want to face up to the issues that are staring at me right in the eye...
Haiz.... just so much rant which is nothing but hot air if there is no action.
What a 29....

Still there?
It has been a while.
Lazy to update the blog, or rather, there are lots of other stuff that I should be spending time on.
More than 10 years ago, when I still had the habit of writing the diary in Chinese (which has more kick than writing in English).
10 years on, Life and work catches up, and suddenly there is no time to walk slowly and smell the roses, be philosophical about life, rationalize and dissect the small things that happen in life.
Things just whizz pass with light speed.
It has been close to 4 years since I graduated from Uni, though cramming for exams still feel like it just happened yesterday, and I still could remember the incredible turnover and super pass that I made in the last few rugby matches that I played 4 years ago.
So many things have happened.
Experience shapes a person.
Friends come and go, those who really stick and stay close are those who have went through similar life experiences, or similar outlook in life.
The rest just move on, or some, drift away slowly.
Inevitable, but this is reality.
The long Taiwan trip that I had last year was great.
Cleared up a lot of things in my head, and the fantastic memories really stick with me.
A year on, there are again, many things that I need to ponder over.
Definitely not as emo as I was at this point of time exactly 1 year ago.
Not that many questions and uncertainty as well.
Just need to slow down as take count of what I have now, and how I should plan my next 10 years.

Long Delayed summary of 2009
Have been delaying and procrastinating over the summary of 2009, which should have been written over the last x'mas break rather than this CNY break.
Well, 2009 has been quite an eventful year for me with a whole host of important events:
-successfully proposed to dear in April
-left A at end of May
-Went for a month long sabbatical to Taiwan in June
-joined I in July
-left I and joined J in August
-Finally got married in Dec
What to look forward to in 2010?
-moving into new flat
-birth of Isabelle
-Bridal shoot
-preparation for wedding banquet next year
-achieve work-related goals
-new biz plans
What has been done so far:
-completed Urbanathlon - no kick
Gotta buck up more and stop wasting time on unnecessary activities...

28 crept in
First time having to work on this day ever since I have started working.
Seems like the day sneaked past so quickly without me realising its gone again, only to say hi again after 364.
Maybe it is true that this day gets more insignificant as the number gets bigger.
Still remember clearly on this same day 10 years ago, I would cycle to same breakwater at ECP and spend some time there day dreaming, and told myself to repeat that every year.
Well, at least I did, for I think about 7 years? Before working life kicked in that is.
Some times I look forward to the future.
Some times, its scares the shit outta me when I think of it.
Haiz, getting really old and senile...
